They both say they’ve put their feud behind them. But it looked like Cardi B’s squabble with rapper Nicki Minaj was still alive and well when the newly single I Like It rapper was spotted in New York on Sunday night.
Seen while preparing to shoot a new music video, the 26-year-old Bartier Cardi hitmaker rocked an Egyptian-inspired chain headdress which was curiously close to the piece Nicki Minaj sported in her Ganja Burn music video.
Cardi was flanked by her entourage as she made her way to film.
Underneath her dazzling headwear she kept dark, straight locks.
In addition to her glittering headdress, Cardi flashed a shiny necklace under her black ankle-length coat.
She also wore gilded sandals with stiletto heels.
Though most of the outfit was obscured, it was hard to ignore the similarities between the looks.
Cardi also appeared to knock off Queen rapper Minaj while filming the video for her feature on City Girls’ newest single Twerk.
Last Tuesday, Miss B – born Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar – was spotted on set wearing a very revealing diamanté bra which looked uncannily like the look Nicki wore in her video for You Da Baddest with Future in 2017.
While she was in Brooklyn shooting by Sunday, Cardi was in Chicago performing at Jingle Ball Saturday night, just days after news she was getting a divorce from husband and father of her child Offset.
She announced the split in an Instagram video late Tuesday, appearing in a red wig as she explained to fans how she and Offset ‘grew out of love’ but are still ‘really good’ friends and business partners.

In the video the 26-year-old, who appeared to be topless, calmly delivered the shocking news.
‘So everybody been bugging me and everything and you know, I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby-father for a hot minute now,’ she said.
‘And we’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners, and you know he’s always someone that I run to to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other.
‘But things just haven’t been working out between us for a long for a long time,’ she continued, constantly fidgeting with her long red wig. ‘It’s nobody’s fault… I guess we just grew out of love.’
‘But we’re not together any more. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce.’
She concluded: ‘I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father, and… yeah.’
Offset himself responded with a comment on the video: ‘Y’all won’.
The now exes were married in a private ceremony in Atlanta last September, 10 months before the birth of their daughter Kulture in July of 2018.
