Grammy-winning rapper Cardi B has just announced that because of a medical emergency, she is now hospitalized and can no longer perform at this year’s ONE MusicFest in Atlanta. The rapper made the news public through her Instagram account as she conveyed her regret over this development.
“I am so sad to share this news, but I’ve been in the hospital recovering from a medical emergency the last couple of days and I won’t be able to perform at ONE MusicFest,” Cardi B wrote. “It breaks my heart that I won’t get to see my fans this weekend.”
While Cardi B has been quiet on specific details about her health condition, that hasn’t stopped her fans from sending positive vibes and support to the artist. “I’ll be back better and stronger soon. Don’t Worry,” the 32 year old artist added.
The rapper, who recently gave birth to her third child with rapper Offset just two months ago, has been dealing with personal challenges as well. The couple, who share a turbulent relationship, are currently going through a divorce.
Cardi B was scheduled to headline alongside other major acts like Earth, Wind & Fire, Nelly, Gunna, and GloRilla at the two-day festival. The cancellation has disappointed many fans, but the rapper’s health remains the priority.
Organizers of the ONE MusicFest have yet to announce a replacement for Cardi’s headlining spot, but the festival will continue with its diverse lineup. Fans are hoping for her swift recovery and a return to the stage soon.
